1. Pickup & Drive to Afqa – 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM

Pickup from Beirut (hotel or address). Enjoy a scenic winter road trip through Qartaba Road, with snow-covered mountains, pine forests, and fresh alpine air.

🛣️ Drive: Beirut → Afqa (Approx. 1 hr 30 mins)

2. Afqa Waterfall – 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM

Begin the adventure at Afqa Waterfall, one of Lebanon’s most iconic winter waterfalls and the source of the Adonis River.

In winter, melting snow turns Afqa into a dramatic cascade flowing from a massive limestone cave — a powerful and photogenic natural scene.

3. Drive to Laqlouq Hidden Cave – 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM

Climb higher toward Laqlouq, where snow blankets the mountains and opens the door to Lebanon’s true winter landscapes.

4. Laqlouq Matkoube Cave, Snow Hiking & Optional Skidoo – 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM

Discover one of Mount Lebanon’s most unique hidden gems: Matkoube Cave (منقوبة).

This naturally formed cave is carved inside a massive mountain and opens toward breathtaking views over Laqlouq lakes, Akoura valleys, and snow-covered peaks.

5. Akoura – Saydet El Qarn Viewpoint – 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM

Head to Saydet El Qarn Church in Akoura, one of the most scenic viewpoints in Mount Lebanon.

From this elevated point, enjoy 360° panoramic winter views over:

• Akoura mountains

6. Drive to Baatara Gorge (Baloo3 Balaa) – 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM

7. Baatara Gorge Waterfall – 1:45 PM to 3:45 PM

End the day at one of Lebanon’s most famous natural landmarks: Baatara Gorge (Baloo3 Balaa).

The Baatara Gorge Sinkhole is a spectacular waterfall that drops 255 meters into a massive Jurassic limestone cave. The water flows through three natural stone bridges, giving the site its nickname: “The Cave of the Three Bridges.”

In winter and early spring, snowmelt makes the waterfall especially powerful — a true highlight of winter nature in Lebanon.
