🗓 Itinerary Breakdown

1. Pickup & Drive to Akkar – 8:30 AM to 11:05 AM

Pickup from Beirut (hotel or address). Enjoy a long, scenic drive through Lebanon’s mountain roads, passing through beautiful landscapes all the way to the deep north.

A quick stop is included for a traditional Lebanese breakfast: manoushe, kaake arabiye, or knefeh.

2. Dalahliz Rock Passage – 11:15 AM to 1:30 PM

Start your adventure in Dalahliz, a naturally formed rock passage where narrow stone corridors create unique pathways perfect for hiking and photography.

Walk between ancient rock walls, capture cinematic views, and enjoy the pure mountain atmosphere of Akkar.

3. Go to Ghabet El Aazr – 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM

Head from Dalahliz toward the Iron Oaks Forest, either on foot or with a short 10-minute car ride.

4. Ghabet El Aazr Forest Hike – 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM

Welcome to one of Lebanon’s most impressive forests. Ghabet El Aazr (Forest of the Iron Oaks) is part of the largest forested region in the Middle East, located around 1,600 meters above sea level.

The forest is known for:

• Thousands of ancient Iron Oaks, Junipers, Cedars, Cypresses, and Fir trees
• Clean, cool mountain air
• Peaceful hiking trails
• Unique wildflowers and natural landscapes
• A magical, untouched atmosphere
